James Weekes
Coach James, a sports enthusiast and our lead swim instructor here at NASC. James Weekes is the St Kitts Nevis National Swim Coach, St Kitts Nevis National Triathlon Coach, head of the Bring It Swim Team, and the lead instructor for the NASC Swim & Aquatic Program. We joke that NASC is just missing his bed, as he's lives at the Center running program after program.
Coach Weekes is a World Aquatics Level 2 Technical Official, WA Level 2 Swim Coach, International Triathlon Union Coach, Special Olympics Principles of Coaching Course, in addition to Safeguarding and CPR/Basic Life Savings Courses. Coach paved the way for competitive swimming in the Federation and is also the first ever St Kitts Nevis Coach at the Olympics for swimming.

Nicholas Dupre
Nick, a Kittitian, is an internationally qualified Master of Yachts 200T, IKO Kite Surf Instructor, and World Sailing Level 3 Sail Instructor. Nicholas is also the President of the St Kitts and Nevis Sailing Association. His passion is helping people find clean steady trade winds and crystal seas in the Atlantic or paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling in the protected waters of the Caribbean. Nick is the lead instructor in our Sailing Classes and plays a key role in introducing young Nevisians to the life skills and technical knowledge sailing offers.

Nickhail Rogers
Nickhail discovered sailing through a lesson gifted by a friend. Sometime later he felt a true personal connection to the relationship between the wind, the ocean and the natural energy that drives sailing. This moment motivated Nickhail to take lessons under the guidance of Nick Dupre whilst studying the theory and literature of sailing. Nickhail progressed quickly. He now holds a World Sailing Level 1 instructor certificate and is a dedicated member of the NASC Sail instructor team, designing the syllabus and teaching on the adult sail and youth sail programs. His deeply held ambition is to introduce beginners to “the beautiful world of sailing - the art of sailing”

Terence "Tee" Liburd
Tee is a Level 1 FINA Coaching Assistant and has been providing Instructor Training to learners of all ages on behalf of NASC in group and individual settings since 2022. Tee also sits on the newly created SKN Triathlon Federation as Sponsorships/Event Board Members. This position encourages more pathways for young swimmers to join. Tee is also recognized as the "official" events commentator at the annual SKN swimming events, providing live commentary at competitions. Tee uses his experience and skills as a complementary therapist to build confidence, reduce fear and improve the sporting performance of those who are willing and committed to improve their technique.

Amadi Byron Hendrickson
Amadi Byron Hendrickson is a product of success through the Center's programs. Graduating through our Youth Sail Program, Amadi now holds a World Sailing Level 1 Sail Instructor's Certification. Amadi a ILCA/Laser Sailor himself is passionate about sailing, he still competes locally and also regionally. 2023 Amadi represented St Kitts Nevis at the Caribbean Dinghy Championships. Amadi brings his youth charm and energy to the Center's sail programs and also as an assistant instructor in our swimming programs.

Annelise Leibrandt
Living on a small island with so many people not knowing how to swim is crazy. So I teach people how to swim, from 6 years old to adult any age, and at any level. Teaching adults how to swim and help banish their fear of sea and of swimming is a special and rewarding mission though. I have completed Fina (World Aquatics) Swim Instructor Level 1 certification. I regularly swim the 1.9 mile St. Kitts Peninsula open water swim, and have mastered the 2¼ mile Cross Channel Nevis to St.Kitts open water swim once.

Garfield Virgo
Garfield Virgo, working with the Nevis Island Administration's Department of Sports, Virgo was selected to learn to teach swimming here in Nevis. Coach Virgo is passionate about teaching, coaching and developing many sports here in the Federations including swimming, track and field and football. Coach Virgo teaches inside our learn to swim programs here at the Center in addition to assisting Coach James with developing the competitors getting ready for upcoming swim competitions. Coach Virgo holds his FINA Level 1 Swimming Instructor Certificate.

Basil "JR" Hoshing
Basil Hoshing JR
Safety, knowledge and fun with fast learning and growth. Thats is the aim. JR is a Scuba diver Master, rescue diver, fitness trainer, swim coach, EFR and first aid trained. He loves the ocean and enjoys introducing others to its wonder's.
"I am always ready to help overcome the fear of water because I can 100% relate. You can do it" say JR.

Elijah Walters
Elijah Walters has been sailing with NASC for over 10 years. In 2021 Elijah was promoted to Assistant Sail Instructor amongst other duties including boat captain for swim supports. Elijah is a huge asset for NASC for his willingness to assist in all programs and activities. He is great with the children, ensuring they are safe and enjoying themselves while learning. You will often find Elijah doing discover sail sessions aboard a Hobie Wave, ensuring their first time aboard a sail boat is a very positive experience.

Valerie Gregoire
Valerie is a marine biologist (M.Sc.) with specialization on coral and also a scuba diver since 1999 with more than 4000 dives. She is an active PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer that has taught over 200 students, Reef Check Instructor, an AGRRA surveyor, FINA swim instructor and coach, swam Cross Channel Swim more than 15 times. She realized her little girl’s dream of becoming a mermaid and actively work to protect and help the ocean via coral reef restoration, research and education. She is co-founder/co-director of C.A.R.E. SKN.

Rudell Williams
Rudell Williams Co Founder and Co Director of CARE SKN INC. Studies Marine Biology at a Diploma level with the Centre of Excellence in Manchester. His passion for the ocean is what drives him to get involved in Coral Reef Restoration and has been since helping to educate the general public about the importance of not only protecting Corals but the ocean on a whole
