Kids Environmental Lesson Plans

NASC now partnered with CARE SKN-NGO focused on coral resortation and will run a number of projects and training programs based from the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center.

Currently Marine science activities that encourage curiosity in kids and help them explore their surrounding are included into the NASC holiday camps. Lesson plans address important ocean health issues including plastic pollution, overfishing and climate change.

Hawksbill Turtles Hatching

Right here at the Nevis Aquatic and Sailing Center our students witnessed 138 babies making their way to sea.

Happy Earth Day!!

Earth Day at the Easter Aquatic Camp the campers learned about the Oceans! The younger campers identified different organisms: invertebrate, crustaceans, fish, mammals and how they differ from each other. We also learned about the sizes of different marine animals. The older campers learned different parts of the fish and identifying fish specifies.

NASC HOSTED 2 CLEANUPS DURING ITS SUMMER CAMP-A beach/roadside cleanup of Oualie Beach and an in-water clean up of Oualie Bay. The children collected over 350pounds of trash. The children were taught the importance of keeping our ocean clean and methods involving reusing and refusing to keep waste at a minimum.
