Sound and Stretch Tai Chi Classes
Please join our Sound and Stretch/Tai Chi class every Tuesday for one Hour of exercise in the shade of NASC enjoying the sound and breeze of the ocean and lead by the rhythm of relaxing music.
In Sound and Stretch we will be starting our day with relaxing breathing and all body stretching exercises to improve health, strength and respiration.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art based on slow stances and deep breathing that will help you learn self defence, concentration, body control and meditation movement. Later on you will also be introduced to weapons like sword, bamboo and fan. All in a non competitive, non violent and non fighting way.
The goal is to release stress and pressure and to ground ourselves.
No previous experience required and no maximum age restriction!
Just bring your reusable water bottle or cup, a hat and wear something comfortable.
Classes are EC$10 per person and all proceeds goes towards the Center’s community missions.
The Center is open after class and you can take a swim, rent a kayak or paddle board, have a beverage and extend the relaxation onwards!
